Did you know the popular song, Morning Has Broken by Michael Card, and performed by Cat Stevens in the early 70's, was originally based on the Gaelic melody, Bunessan, by Scottish composer, Mary MacDonald? The lyrics for this wonderful melody, titled Leanabh an Aigh, were written in Gaelic. When the melody was translated into English by Lachlan Macbean, the title for the song was renamed to be Bunessan, after a Scottish village close to Mary MacDonald’s hometown of Ardtun. Also, the song was originally associated with the Christmas carol, Away in the Manger. The Falling Slowly sheet music by Glen Hansard from the movie, Once, is very accurate to the original score, and is easy to play. It is also a beautiful piece play as piano accompaniment for a guitar.
The Canon In D sheet music by Johann Pachelbel, is a very good piece to play, if your into sight reading, and depending on your level of piano playing performance, it can be quickly mastered. Canon In D is often played, as the background music for a Wedding Processional.

The Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) sheet music by Chris Tomlin arrangement is easy to play, and is a great Worship song to sing and play.

Chopsticks Sheet Music

Chopsticks, a well-known waltz for the piano by Arthur De Lulli, was first titled, The Celebrated Chop Waltz. It was originally composed by female British composer, Euphemia Allen, in 1877, under the pseudonym 'Arthur de Lull' aka 'Lulli'. Euphemia Allen was the sister of a music publisher, and was apparently only 16 years old when she composed the piece, with piano arrangements for solo and duet. The title, Chopsticks, comes from her specification that the melody be played in two-part harmony with both hands held sideways, little fingers down, striking the keys with a chopping motion. This name suggests the piece should be played in slow, 3/4 waltz timing, but nowadays, Chopsticks is often heard with the stresses as in 6/8 time. Download free sheet music all during April for the American song, A Bicycle Built for Two (Daisy Bell). The song was composed by Harry Dacre, a popular composer from England, in 1892. When he first came to the USA, he brought a bicycle, but to his surprise, he was charged duty for bring the bike into the country. William Jerome, a songwriter friend his, made light of the duty charge, and said, "It's lucky you didn't bring a bicycle built for two, otherwise you'd have to pay double duty." Dacre was so taken with the phrase, 'bicycle built for two', that he decided to use it in a song he was composing called, Daisy Bell. The song first became successful in a London music hall by Katie Lawrence. Tony Pastor was the first one to sing it in the United States. Its success in America began when Jennie Lindsay brought down the house with it at the Atlantic Gardens on the Bowery early in 1892.
